Supply Planning and Logistic Manager

Key Responsibilities :

Supply chain Operations –

Provide clear, leadership and guidance for the Supply Planning team ensuring:

  • Clear responsibility and accountability within the supply chain operations
  • Documented processes and procedures covering all supply chain activities
  • Process adherence through an effective   measurement, and performance management environment

Provide an effective interface between the Supply Chain and other business partners/leaders:

  • Understand the business requirements, and be responsive to dealing with issues
  • Clearly communicate expectations for information and support from other functions/ operations e.g. S&OP
  • Communicate and gain consensus on responsibility and accountability through appropriate KPIs
  • Ensure timely submission of supply forecasts to our Business Unit & Co packers

Provide leadership for the ongoing development of supply chain

Develop new capabilities within the supply chain organisation to support new/ expanding business opportunities and improve customer satisfaction e.g. Kitting operations, direct drops, cross docking.

Management of excess & obsolete inventory

  • Execution of timely shipment under all categories in our Orgnz whereby ensuring Gross Sales in line with market demand and WHQ committed Plan.
  • Proactively present key risk factors impacting Gross Sales for the Company

Functional Role:

  • Effective management of suppliers through SLAs, regular meetings and KPI tracking
  • Selection and management of service providers, carriers, routing, rates
  • Warehouse design and operations (facility layout, handling, productivity, safety etc)
  • Materials management (inventory planning, replenishment, rebuild plans, purchasing)
  • Discuss and agree with formal processes for an efficient & productive interface on Supplies with the Copacker/Affiliates
  • Develop, implement & effectively utilise an appropriate mix of ERP and logistics systems to maximise performance of logistics operations.
  • Create a flexible supply chain which is responsive and capable of responding to a changing environment and business/ market requirements (e.g. manage inventory appropriate to market demand).

Experience of 6+ plus years of Managerial level.

Prior work experience in an FMCG environment (EXPERT IN PROCUREMENT) with exposure to logistics, planning, purchasing, production, transportation, storage & distribution, customer service , MRP, DRP, Sourcing & Vendor Management.
